The raw material for renewable energy is free: the sun, wind, and the heat of the earth! Yet, all these things are available in abundance on our planet. And, they’re effortless to harness as long as we build solar panels or wind turbines to absorb them and convert them into usable energy.

We have enough solar energy hitting earth in one hour to supply humanity’s entire current energy needs for one year. Even if we could use up all that energy in one hour, it would take another two years before all that sunlight was gone again. So there’s enough sunlight in one day alone on earth to meet all of humanity’s energy needs for two years—and there’s an infinite supply waiting for us every single day!

5.Approximately Every Country has Good Wind or Sun

Although some areas may have more sun than others (like Australia!), nearly every country has access to either lot of sunlight or strong winds.

Solar panels work best in areas with lots of sunlight throughout the year, while wind turbines work best in areas with strong winds throughout the year. Since every country experiences both sunny and windy days, there’s a good chance that renewable energy could be used anywhere!

6.Stable Renewable Electricity Is Not Hard

As the world’s population grows and energy demands increase, we need to ensure that our electricity sources are stable and renewable. We can ensure the power grid stays strong by using solar panels in our homes and rooftops. Solar panels can provide a steady power to keep your lights on without worrying about disruptions from storms or blackouts.
